A Madrasah in the Heart of a Home

Welcome to Hikmah Youth, a nurturing house-based Madrasah founded on sincerity, care, and community. What began as a small act of service has grown into a beloved center of Islamic learning — all within the warmth of a family home, now beautifully known as the House of Al-Arqam.

From Humble Beginnings to a Thriving Madrasah

Hikmah Youth was established by our beloved Ustadha Khadijah, who first opened her doors in the summer of 2016. With a heart for service and a love for the Qur'an, she began by teaching close family friends how to read the Book of Allah.

As word spread, children from the community began to join her growing circle. What started as a few lessons soon became a trusted space of learning and guidance for families near and far. Alhamdulillah, over 100 students have now passed through these doors — each one welcomed as part of the extended Hikmah Youth family.

A Sacred Space with a Timeless Legacy

Inspired by the legacy of the original House of Al-Arqam in early Islam — a place where the first Muslims gathered to learn and grow — our home-based madrasa seeks to revive that same spirit of intimate, purposeful learning.

We believe knowledge thrives in spaces rooted in love, sincerity, and tawakkul. Our students don’t just attend classes — they become part of a sacred tradition.

Our Vision: Faithful, Focused & Sincere

  • Arabic calligraphy of the name Muhammad on a decorative dark brown background.

    01. Devotion to sunnah

Encouraging a life guided by the example of the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ

We strive to keep the Sunnah alive in our daily interactions, our approach to learning, and our curriculum — so that students grow not just in knowledge, but in love for the Messenger ﷺ and his way.

  • Open pages of the Quran with ornamental Arabic calligraphy and decorative borders.

    02. Companionship of the Qur'an

Helping students build a lifelong, personal connection with the Qur’an

Through regular recitation, memorization, and discussion, we hope each student sees the Qur’an not as a school subject — but as a companion to turn to in every part of life.

  • Close-up of young green seedlings growing in soil.

    03. Environment that speaks God

Creating a learning space that naturally supports better focus, behavior, and spirituality

The House of Al-Arqam is not just a teaching space — it’s a reflective place where children can learn with adab, be themselves, and feel connected to something greater than just the classroom.

Behind The Logo

  • Logo of Hikmah Youth with a stylized turquoise feather design to the left of the text.

At Hikmah Youth, our logo isn’t just a design — it tells our story.

The quill symbolizes the pen mentioned in the Qur’an:

“Read, and your Lord is the Most Generous —
    Who taught by the pen,
Taught man what he did not know.”

    (Qur’an 96:3–5)

It reflects our deep commitment to learning, literacy, and the sacred pursuit of knowledge.

At the heart of our name is the word حكمة (Hikmah)wisdom — the very essence of what we aim to cultivate in every student: not just information, but thoughtful, God-conscious understanding.

A pen. A purpose. A path to wisdom.
