Bismillah.
Hikmah Youth is honoured to present the Nusaybah Gi Open 2026—our first girls-only Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu competition, taking place, in shaa Allah, in Huddersfield.
Hikmah Youth is a house-based madrasa initiative dedicated to nurturing strong Islamic character through beneficial activities rooted in the Qur'an and Sunnah. Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, as a modern form of wrestling, provides a unique means of developing resilience, confidence, discipline, humility, patience, and perseverance alongside physical wellbeing.
The Nusaybah Gi Open has been established to provide girls with the opportunity to compete in an environment that reflects Islamic values, encourages excellent character (akhlaq), and celebrates sincere effort and personal growth.

🔒 Female-Only Environment
The privacy and comfort of our competitors is one of our highest priorities.
As many participants observe hijab, the Nusaybah Gi Open operates as a female-only event with enhanced privacy measures.
To help maintain a respectful environment:
Mobile phones and personal recording devices will be secured in touch-screen lock pouches upon entry.
Devices remain with their owners throughout the event.
Photography, filming, livestreaming, and video calls inside the competition area are not permitted.
Official event photography will be undertaken only by authorised female event media under strict privacy guidelines.
We sincerely appreciate everyone's cooperation in preserving a safe and dignified atmosphere for all.

🌿 Strengthening Brotherhood Through Sport
The Match of Unity 2026 is a brothers-only 7-a-side football tournament bringing together our Madrasah students, alumni, teachers, and guests for a day of unity, teamwork, and healthy competition.
This event is about more than football — it’s about strengthening bonds, reconnecting generations, and supporting our Madrasah.

7-a-side teams
Up to 3 substitutes per team
Ages 12+
Brothers-only event
Friendly but competitive structure
Group stages and knockout rounds (depending on number of teams)
Full fixtures and tournament rules will be shared closer to the date.
💷 Registration & Supporting the Madrasah
Minimum registration: £5 per participant
All proceeds will go directly towards supporting the Madrasah and its educational work.
We strongly encourage brothers, alumni, and families to set up a weekly or monthly contribution to help sustain and grow the Madrasah for future generations. Even a small, consistent amount can make a lasting impact.

Expedition Of Light 1447
The Expedition of Light is a special journey for our madrasa students visiting Mustafa Mount to experience the blessed Taraweeh prayers during Ramadan. This spiritual outing is designed to:
Inspire a deeper connection with Salah and Sunnah practices
Provide a peaceful environment for reflection and gratitude
Encourage community and brotherhood/sisterhood among students
Students will travel together under supervision, and the trip includes:
Participating in Taraweeh prayers at Mustafa Mount
Opportunities for dhikr and Quran reflection
Light refreshments during the visit
This unique experience allows students to immerse themselves in the spirit of Ramadan, witnessing the beauty of congregational prayers and the tranquility of a sacred space.
In shā’ Allāh, the Expedition of Light will be a memorable, uplifting, and educational journey for all participants.

Tranquilty Walk - 12+ Brothers
🌿 Tranquility Walk – 12+ Boys
Assalamu alaykum,
Alhamdulillah, after the successful Tranquility Walk for the girls last weekend, we are pleased to announce a supervised hiking trip for boys aged 12 and above to Marsden 🏞️. This walk is intended not only as physical activity 🥾 but also as a time for reflection and appreciation of Allah’s creation 🌳✨, following the Sunnah of caring for our bodies and connecting with nature.

Date: Thursday, 30th October 2025
Meeting Point: House of Al-Arqam 🏠 at 8:00 am (please arrive on time ⏰)
Return Time: 5:00pm 🕔
Transport: Taxi 🚕
Contribution: Minimum £10 💷 (to cover travel and other expenses)
Requirements: Packed lunch 🥪, suitable clothes 👕👖 and footwear 🥾 for hiking
Safety: First aid kit 🩹 will be available and children will be under adult supervision 👨👩👦 at all times

Join us for Tranquility Walk a Sunnah-inspired outdoor experience designed to bring peace, reflection, and connection.
Set against the serene backdrop of Scammonden Reservoir, this gentle walk invites our girls to enjoy time in nature, strengthen friendships, and reflect on the signs of Allāh in His creation.
Rooted in the Prophetic tradition of calm reflection and gratitude, Tranquillity is an opportunity to step away from routine and reconnect with nature, with others, and with oneself.
